Glomar Subsea BV also called The Underwater Specialist, is an international 'One-Stop-Shop' service provider specialized in inshore diving activities. Glomar Subsea BV is part of Glomar Offshore BV, enabling us to use a diverse fleet of specially designed offshore support vessels that meet exceptionally high standards of safety and operational capabilities, the highest technological quality equipment and skilled personnel to meet your needs. meet expectations.

We offer our services using our containerised unit or one of our three dive vans. In addition to these facilities, we also have a multifunctional aluminium workboat, the "Stormer", which is equipped with high-quality communication equipment and can be transported by trailer. Moreover, the Stormer is "ultra-shallow" drafted and therefore exceedingly suitable for research and/or diving work.

We provide our services 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Dive vans

Our dive vans are equipped in such a way that they are completely self-sufficient on location. The van includes all necessary and required equipment for any desired location. We have the option to register and prepare reports on location. The dive vans are equipped with a wide range of (underwater) equipment.

Glomar Subsea has a wide range of equipment such as:

Stormer work boat

The Stormer work boat is a multifunctional boat and easy to transport by trailer. 

The boat has a spacious wheelhouse with workspace for two people. The work boat can be deployed fully “dive ready”.

Various attachment points are available on the deck to attach measuring or survey equipment. The Stormer is equipped with a powerful outboard motor in order to reach locations quickly.

Activities

Our diving work takes place, among other things, in construction work underwater, maintenance of nautical works of art such as; bridges, locks, quays, docks etc.

We also dive with:

  • salvage work
  • inspection
  • cleaning and maintenance of swimming pools
  • water basins
  • clean water cellars
  • measuring constructions
  • etc.

We use our extensive collection of high-quality equipment such as welding equipment, high-pressure cleaners, cutting burners and lifting tools. These are maintained and certified in our workshop. These are maintained and certified in our workshop.

DIVE TEAM FORMATION

Our dive teams are formed by at least three certified professionals, namely:

  • Dive supervisor:A dive supervisor guides the dive crew and is responsible for the safe conduct of the dive operation in accordance with the legal requirements.
  • Dive medic: The dive medic is on standby and is trained to recognize a diving accident, can take appropriate actions and can provide first aid.
  • Diver:Our divers have all the skills required for the job and are committed to safety and quality.

 

Glomar Subsea has a large pool of experienced divers available, each with their own competences and qualifications. 

Workshop

We have our modern workshop located at our headquarters in Den Helder. The workshop is equipped with high-tech equipment and tools and is used to professionally maintain and certify our equipment by our specialists. It is fully concentrated on the OHSAS 18001 standard.

Ship inspections and repairs

Glomar Subsea is acknowledged and certified by renowned insurers (worldwide) for the performance of recognized In-Water Surveys (IWS).

For a UWILD (Under Water Inspection in Lieu or Drydocking), pre-inspections for the acquisition or sale of a ship, Glomar Subsea is eminently the right party to provide the client with a thorough IWS that complies with the legal requirements. Detailed reports are invariably provided with clear photos, videos and explanations after an IWS.

It is also possible to have a general intermediate inspection, involving an extensive examinations of the condition of the hull, possible fouling, growth and damage. In addition, we have years of experience in providing various repair work to ships such as welding, cleaning, mounting transducers, etc.

We are fully certified to ISO, VCA (DNV) and class (RINA- International Association of Class Societies) standards with the other relevant certification in progress (14001, 18001) IMCA scheduled Q1 2016.
